Company

We are experts in owner’s representation and construction management. Founded in 2005, Trailmark combines principles learned over decades of working in the luxury residential and commercial markets, rendering a unique management philosophy that has garnered repeat business year after year.

 

Andrew Bylund

After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in construction management, Andrew worked as a field manager for a large commercial builder, where he oversaw a host of luxury commercial and hospitality projects, including the Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto.

Andrew founded Trailmark while delivering multiple large-scale estates, quickly growing the company and expanding it into the high-end residential, commercial and hospitality sectors. He is a project management expert, specializing in unique architectural concepts, systems, and finishes, including environmentally responsible designs and complex structural builds. abylund@trailmarkinc.com

 

Dave Rivetti

Dave worked as an owner’s representative on a variety of educational construction projects in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Monterey Peninsula. He worked for the San Francisco Zen Center; and as the facilities manager for the Tassajara Zen Mountain Center, a monastery located in the Ventana wilderness. He went on to work as a principal for notable general contractors, specializing in project oversight and business development in the Southern California residential and commercial markets, before returning to owner’s representation work in 2019, as principal for Trailmark.

Mark Daniels

Mark graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in construction management, and worked in commercial construction for Peck Jones completing the Reagan Presidential Library, Howard Hughes Center, and The Beverly Hills Hotel. After spending time in the custom residential market, he started his own company Nelson Daniels in early 2000’s primarily doing high-end estates and residences in Los Angeles, Montecito/Santa Barbara, Manhattan Beach, Laguna Beach and Hawaii.

As Sr. Project Manager for Trailmark, Mark brings over 40 years of construction experience both in the field and at the management level. He is well versed in all building systems and is particularly strong in scheduling and maintaining momentum on a project while at the same time ensuring that the project is being built to the highest quality standards. mdaniels@trailmarkinc.com

 

Marie Skinner

Marie graduated from the University of Nevada with a degree in construction management, and has built a reputation for premier mountain building and design in Tahoe and Montana.

As Project Manager for Trailmark in the mountain states, Marie brings over 20 years of construction experience both in the field and at the design management level. She excels at scheduling, quality control, and design integration. Marie resides in Big Sky Montana. mskinner@trailmarkinc.com

Preconstruction Consulting

  • Estimating the concept design to establish an early target budget

  • Value engineering & cost recovery plans

  • Permitting & expediting services

  • Develop total project schedule, including permitting, design, construction, FFE, move-in

  • Write, review, & manage all project contracts

  • Cash flows & pro forma management

Design Management

  • Design team selection

  • Constructability review

  • Specification review & suggestions

  • Design-assist for special scopes

  • Coordination of interior finishes with equipment & furniture during CD development

  • Procurement of all appliances, furniture, fixtures, & equipment for the Client

    Construction Management

  • General contractor selection

  • Subcontractor & vendor suggestions

  • Site visits, reporting, run weekly project meetings

  • Total project accounting, monthly billing review, & approval against the approved budget

  • Final walk through & punch list management

  • Commissioning, start up, & turnover services

  • Management of all warranties & insurances

  • Work with estate manager, security, employees, & Client after move-in

  • Cost control, including minimizing & eliminating change orders during the work

  • Storage, inventory, handling of all Clients product, & coordination of delivery
